It is with great sadness that I must inform you that Retired Battalion Chief Richard Egerman passed away Monday, September 24th, 2013.
Richard Egerman retired from the CAL FIRE Southern Region Operations Coordination Center on December 28th, 2010 where he had worked for over four years. Rich started his CAL FIRE career as a seasonal firefighter in 1977 and during his career has worked in the Tuolumne Calaveras, Amador El Dorado, Tulare and Riverside Units. In addition to his fire service career with CAL FIRE Rich also work for a short time with both Oregon Division of Forestry and the Bureau of Land Management In Lakeview Oregon.
A memorial service is being planned for a future date .
