Morris Richard Schmidt passed away on November 10, 2015 at the age of 84 in Topaz Lake, NV, where he had lived since retirement.
He worked for CDF for 30 years retiring in 1984 and loved his work with the forestry. In addition to many years as a Fire Captain, he was involved with Arson Investigation, Law Enforcement and retired as a Fire Prevention Officer. He worked in Tuolumne County and then in Siskiyou County where he retired.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marcalene and two sons Eric and Kevin and 9 Grandchildren. His daughter, Betti, predeceased him in 2004.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 21 at 1:00 PM at Antelope Valley Community Methodist Church in Coleville, CA.
