Passing of Bruce Brown

We are saddened to report the passing of Retired BDU Fire Captain Bruce Brown. Bruce began his career with the US Forest Service in 1961. He worked at the Miller Canyon, and Deer Lick fire stations. He was also a member of the Del Rosa Hot Shots. Bruce then went to work for the Crest Forest Fire Department and began his career with CAL FIRE when Crest Forest contracted for fire protection services. Bruce worked at the San Bernardino Headquarters Station 1, Highland Station 6, Grand Terrace Station 23, and finished his career as a Fire Captain in Prevention, as P3527. Bruce was very involved with the school team teaching and the Smokey Bear programs. Please join us in sending thoughts and prayers to his family as they grieve this tragic loss.
