It is with great sadness that I inform you all of the passing of Bruce Schmidt, age 73 and father of Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit Fire Captain Mike Schmidt. Bruce was killed in a traffic collision yesterday afternoon on Highway 49 in the Jackson area. Mike is currently with his mother Donna in San Andreas. Please keep the Schmidt family is your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
