On February 1, 2016 CAL FIRE Firefighter 2 Johnny M. Chun, until his last breath, lost his fight to cancer. A lifelong resident of Marina, and a Firefighter in San Benito- Monterey Unit, Johnny’s passion was his family. Everything we did we did together. His other passion was his career as a firefighter. John loved everything about it especially his colleagues whom he would call his brothers and sisters. Johnny’s wife Sun lost a beloved husband. Johnny’s children Branden, Dylan and Nicole lost their dad. Johnny’s parents Robert and Len lost their son. Tommy (Melissa) lost a brother. Johnny’s nieces and nephew Aurora, Alex and Emily lost their uncle. Johnny would always say “I love you.” We all wait for time to heal something that cannot be fixed.
