It is with tremendous sadness that we report the passing of Ray Hogland this afternoon (June 15) in Sparks, Nevada, following a long fight against the effects of dementia and Parkinson’s disease. Ray was a veteran of the U.S. Army; a retired heavy equipment operator with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection; a past director of the California Firemen’s Muster Association; and a member of the CDF-Mendocino Muster Team; a member of That Dam Engine Company Muster Team; and a good friend to all whom he met. A celebration of life for Ray’s friends and family is tentatively planned in August, details to be announced later.
A private family funeral service is being scheduled.
