We are deeply saddened to report that overnight Fire Captain
Casey Craig, from the CAL FIRE Madera-Mariposa-Merced Unit, passed away while
off duty. Casey started with CAL FIRE in 1994 as a Fire Fighter I in the
Madera-Mariposa-Merced Unit. He worked his way through the ranks and spent most
of his career in Madera-Mariposa-Merced Unit. Further information will be
provided as it becomes available.
