Ruth said that they are taking one day at a time.
Their kids went back home to Florida on March, 24, 2014.
Hospice ordered a hospital bed for Dick and it arrived on Thursday, March 27, 2014.
He continues to have high fevers each evening and they stay up late until the fever breaks nightly.
He is beginning to have more problems walking, and he fell one of the nights and Ruth had to call a neighbor and a friend from Sun Lakes to assist her in getting him back to bed.
Ruth is trying to get him to use a walker, but he is struggling through that whole thing.
I went to see him yesterday, and she said he is sleeping more during the day. He had a fever in the afternoon, and was resting comfortably.
He woke up to spend some time with the Engine Crew from Station 66 that had stopped by to check on him. He has a great attitude.
If you would like to stop by and see Dick, you are very welcome too. Please call 951-845-1276 to let them know you plan on visiting. Their address is 902 Michigan Ave. Beaumont, California.
Ruth really appreciates the support she has received from the three Military Honor Guards that Dick is a part of and for the CDF/Cal Fire family, Their Church family, neighbors, there biological family, and friends, that have shown their support through Dicks illness.
