Retired CDF/CAL FIRE Heavy Fire Equipment Operator (HFEO) Richard (Dick) Emerick passed on March 19, 2015. Dick was born and raised in Coarsegold and lived in there in retirement until his passing.
Dick worked 30 years for CDF as both a Crew Foreman and a HFEO. He started his career in Tulare Unit, but also worked in Inyo-Mono Unit (Owens Valley), Fresno-Kings Unit before finishing his career in the Madera-Mariposa Unit assigned to Coarsegold Station, retiring in 1990.
Services for Dick will be held April 4, 2015 at Oakhill Cemetery located at 40188 Highway 41 in Oakhurst CA. The services will start at 1pm.
