Retired FC Merv Holberg passed away at his home in Sacramento on August 7th. Merv was a captain for CDF in Fortuna in Humboldt County and at Hopland in Mendocino County. He retired in 1983 due to disability after 22 years of service. He later moved to Sacramento. He had recently been suffering from a variety of illnesses and complications.
The Celebration of Life for retired MEU FC Merv Holberg is on August 26 @ 1pm. In order to obtain an accurate head count for planning and refreshments, please RSVP ljholberg@sbcglobal.net if you plan to attend and the number in your party.
