On February 9th, Jeanie and Dennis O’Brien (past President of CAL FIRE Local 2881) lost their son, Kevin Patrick O’Brien, tragically to lung cancer.   Kevin was the light of their lives and will be missed.  He was 41 and had worked as an electrician foreman for Berg Electric for 21 years and lived in Escondido.

Retired Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit Fire Captain Art Kruckman passed away at Sutter hospital on April 18,2016 due to complications from cancer he has been valiantly fighting for some time.  Art retired from CAL FIRE in 2001 from Konocti Camp. Art and his wife Jean spent their time between two homes; one in Idaho and one in Windsor.
